NORTHUMBERLAND CARES FOR CHILDREN Northumberland Child Development Centre is excited to be working closely with Northumberland County, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, and the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board on the new Early Learning program recently implemented by the Ontario Government, with Special Advisor Dr. Charles Pascal. In 2010, Dr. Pascal visited the Centre to learn about the work that we do, and to present his vision of the new centres that will soon be available for children and their families within Northumberland schools. In January 2011, the first Northumberland Cares for Children pilot sites were launched at St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School in Port Hope, and at Colborne Public School in Colborne. Calendars of upcoming events and activities at are included here.
