Print Write! is a fun method of teaching handwriting for children of all abilities. The workshop teaches techniques that will make handwriting an automatic and natural skill. Print Write! Objectives: J Enhance children’s well being and school readiness. J Build pre-reading / writing foundation skills. J Teach parents how to teach their kids. The workshop is available at various schools throughout the county. Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (S.T.E.P.) helps families with children 6 years of age and younger adapt, and readjust to the ever-changing needs and challenges of parenting young children. When: Coming soon to a neighbourhood near you! Time: Evening sessions Who: Anyone parenting children 6 years of age and younger. Why: The purpose of STEP is to: J Encourage parents to look at long-term parenting goals. J Provide information on how young children think, act and feel. J Promote skills to enhance the effectiveness and enjoyment of parenting. J Help children develop self-esteem and confidence. J Support yourself as parents and as people. J Develop effective ways to teach cooperation and discipline.
